Tampers - American Pneumatic Tools

The American Pneumatic Tools Model 131 Backfill Tamper is used for soil compaction, temporary filling of holes, ashphalt packing etc. Applications range from foundation and pavement repair to the installation of power and telephone poles.

Model 131 Features

• Built-in automatic oiler
• Flapper valve design allows dirt to pass without stopping the tool
• Internally reinforced large 5-3/4″ malleable iron butt (standard)

APT Tampers are available with a choice of 3 types of butts:

• 6 inch diameter round butt (approximately 7 lbs)
• 3 inch diameter round butt (approximately 5 lbs)
• Half moon shaped butt (approximately 5 lbs)
